Some of you might have noticed that I haven’t been sharing new work the past couple of months. 6 months, to be precise. Reason was I was working on a big project, and wasn’t allowed to share any info or screenshots. Yesterday evening I lifted a tip of veil on dribbble (where else?), and today I can finally share my labors of the past half year. Introducing: Gowalla for iPhone 3.0.
I cannot tell you how excited I am about launching this app. It isn’t just a redesign, it’s a complete overhaul. Josh Williams and the amazing Gowalla team gave me free play to rethink the app, add a couple of new features, and build a solid foundation for the future.
After months of designing screens and constantly asking the whole team for feedback, Philip Bowden and Scott Raymond took the design and turned it into a real app. Gowalla 3.0 is a love child of design and engineering, and the version available in the App Store right now is better than I could ever wish for.
I’d like to thank all the super smart folks at Gowalla for this wonderful opportunity, and hope you all enjoy the new app.
