Siteseeing, week 2

  • Gore’s choice: When Al Gore requests to make changes to a font, you make those damn changes. (via)
  • My article about the Apple Tablet got Fireballed. I’m proud to say Textpattern took the beating like a champ. Not only did my site not go down, performance didn’t even lag for a minute.
  • While we’re on the subject, I found some more predictions by Shawn Blanc and Elliot Jay Stocks. I’m like a Dyson for articles on the Apple Tablet these days…
  • TotalFinder is a replacement for the Mac OS X Finder inspired by/based on Google Chrome. Still in Alpha, but looking extremely promising. (via)
  • The full site of DIBI Conference (April 28th, in Gateshead, UK) went live. I’ll be speaking there together with some really cool people.
  • After cyber attacks aimed to get personal information of Chinese human rights activists, Google decides to no longer censor search results in China. Which again proves that if you’re Google, you can get away with anything.
  • Sam Brown posted a writeup on the new dashboard he designed for Carbonmade, and it looks de-licious! He was even so kind to put a static preview online.
